DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY NOVEMBER 28, 2005
(2 Corinthians 6:2, James 4:14)

www.liveprayer.com/signup.htm

***TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF CHRISTOPHER FORD. CHRISTOPHER WAS A VIBRANT 17-YEAR-OLD YOUNG MAN WHO HAD JUST GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL LAST MAY A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO A SENSELESS ACCIDENT THAT TOOK HIS YOUNG LIFE. THIS DEVOTIONAL NEEDS TO BE SENT TO EVERY YOUNG ADULT AND CHILD AND TO EVERY PARENT AS WELL. IT IS A WARNING TO YOUNG ADULTS AND CHILDREN ABOUT BEING CAREFUL, AND TO PARENTS TO KNOW WHAT YOUR CHILDREN ARE UP TO AND WHO THEY ARE WITH. THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT TOMORROW IS PROMISED TO NONE OF US AND THAT
TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!

Today is YOUR day! Last May on the TV program, I received a call from a precious young lady who is a living miracle of God. Felicia originally called the program right after we went on the air in early 2003 from her bed at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. At 17, she was battling with leukemia and called for prayer. The Holy Spirit moved on my heart as I prayed for Felicia that night, and the next day I visited her at the hospital. She was in and out of the hospital several times over the next few months, but praise God, she is in remission and just last May her port was removed which all who have battled thru any disease like cancer know is a great moment. We continue to pray for God's strength and continued good health for Felicia.

Sadly however, her call last May was not one of praise but of sorrow. Her 17-year-old cousin had been tragically shot and was laying in a coma in the ICU at a local hospital. I took time the next day to go down to the hospital and be with this young man's family, pray with them, as well as go back into the ICU and pray over this young man's comatose body asking God to intervene since He was the only hope there was. Sadly, I got the call a couple of days later that Chris had passed away. God has the final word and it was not His plan to raise this young man up but to take him home.

Chris Ford should not be dead today. He is dead because of the foolish actions of his younger brother and his brother's friend. They never intended to hurt Chris, let alone kill him, but when people do things without thinking, accidents, deadly accidents can occur. For the young adults and children reading this today, please, THINK before you act. ACTIONS CARRY CONSEQUENCES. What you mean simply as a prank or a joke could have horrible consequences, so please THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!

A freind of Chris's 15-year-old young brother had come over to their house. He was riding a bicycle he had stolen and had with him a gun that he had also stolen. He and Chris' younger brother were playing with the gun, putting the bullets in, taking them out. Chris' younger brother decided to play a joke on his big brother. He emptied all of the bullets from the clip and went inside the house where Chris was sleeping. He crawled into the bed and put the barrel of the gun at the base of Chris' neck and pulled the trigger. Instead of "click," there was the explosion of the gun going off. Not knowing much about guns, these young boys weren't aware that while they had taken all of the bullets out of the clip, there was still one in the chamber.

As the hollow point bullet ripped thru Chris' brain, breaking up into thousands of fragments, it is only a miracle of God that he didn't die instantly. He was rushed to the hospital, but there was really nothing the doctors could do for him except wait and see if he would survive long enough for them to eventually be able to go inside, clean up the bullet fragments, and try to repair some of the massive damage done. They never got that opportunity as Chris eventually died from his injuries after a few days.

So you have a 17-year-old young man who had just graduated from high school with his entire life before him that is dead, his 15-year-old brother in juvenile detention not only facing legal charges for what happened, but on suicide watch as he tries to cope with the fact he killed the big brother he loved and adored, the 15-year-old young man that stole the gun and brought it to the home that fateful morning that is facing a plethora of legal charges, a family that is not only mourning the loss of one child but not knowing the legal fate of their other child, as well as the family of the young man who brought the gun to the home as they deal with the role their child played in this tragedy and the uncertainty of what the rest of his life will be because of it.

TO YOU YOUNG ADULTS AND CHILDREN, YOUR ACTIONS CARRY CONSEQUENCES! YOU HAVE TO THINK BEFORE YOU DO THINGS!

Alcohol, drugs, guns, knives, are dangerous and not to be played with or experimented with. They can kill you! Porn and sex may not kill you instantly, but getting involved with sexual things will affect you for the rest of your life in how you view sex, and it can be the beginning of a bondage that could lead to horrible perverted acts later on in life. 100% of pedophiles and rapists admit that their perversion with sex began as a youth and started with porn. Also, with the incredible amounts of sexually transmitted diseases out there, promiscuous sex outside of marriage really can end up costing you your life.

That doesn't mean you can't have fun. It simply means to STAY AWAY from these things that you have no business being involved with at a young age. When I was growing up I worked and when I wasn't working, my friends and I were at the ball field from the minute the sun came up until it was dinner time. There are TONS of activities that you can get involved with to have a fun, entertaining, and wholesome time without getting involved in those things that you have no business being involved in, things that could damage, even take your life.

Parents, this is a warning today to you as well. No doubt you can't monitor your children 24/7, but you better do your best to know not only what they are doing, but WHO they are doing it with. Now more than ever, you MUST be aware of those kids your child is friends with and hanging out with. You may be raising your child in the admonition of the Lord, teaching them Biblical truths, laying a solid foundation in their life, but DO NOT ASSUME other parents or guardians are. As a matter of fact, in today's world assume they are NOT!

You have too many children being raised in homes where God is NOT part of their lives, where they are NOT being properly supervised, where they are NOT getting the love and nurturing a child needs, so these children do NOT share the same values as your children. You simply cannot afford to not know who your child's friends are and who their friend's parents are. Not just at school but even the kids who live in your neighborhood. There are simply some children out there that your children SHOULD NOT be hanging around with!

I love you and care about you so much. It breaks my heart every time I hear about a child tragically losing their life, especially in something as senseless as what happened to Chris Ford. I pray that every child, young adult, and parent reading this today will realize that you simply can't take life for granted. Life is so very fragile. The Book of James calls it a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. With so many things in this life out of our control, we have got to take full responsibility for those things that are in our control

Parents need to be actively involved in their children's lives, not just in what they are doing but who they are doing it with. Young adults and children need to never forget that your actions carry consequences. Think before you act. Also, stay away from those things that you know deep down inside you have no business being involved with. You don't need an adult to tell you to stay away from guns. You don't need an adult to tell you to not watch porn. You don't need an adult to tell you to don't smoke marijuana. You know deep down inside that those are things you shouldn't be doing, so LISTEN to your conscience and STAY AWAY from those things that could hurt you, or even kill you.

Let me say in closing today that God's Word teaches us TODAY, not tomorrow, is the day of salvation. Why? Simple. Tomorrow is promised to none of us. Tomorrow is a gift from God that we hope for but can't count on. That is why we can't put off dealing with where we will spend eternity. The fact is every person will die one day. At that moment they will continue to live for all eternity, the only question is will that eternity be WITH God their Creator, or APART from God their Creator. That is a choice each person must make for themselves.

If you are reading these words today, no matter how old you are, and you can't say with 100% assurance that if your life ended this second you would be forever with Jesus, then you need to stop whatever you are doing and make sure once and for all. Being baptized as a baby doesn't save you, the fact your parents may be Christians doesn't save you, going to church doesn't save you, just saying you are a Christian and that you believe in Jesus doesn't save you, only making a real profession of faith in Jesus Christ will save you. Please, take a few minutes right now and ask God to open your heart to receive the following words. Read them carefully and as you feel the Lord speaking to you, pray the prayer at the end. God loves you very much and has made a way for you to spend all eternity with Him. He is speaking to your heart today, answer Him and let Him come inside. I am praying for you. Today is YOUR day!

( from: http://www.liveprayer.com/bdy_salvatn.html ) "The Bible teaches that God has provided salvation in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus was made to assume our flesh, die in our stead, rise again from the dead, ascend to the Father, receive the place of power at God's right hand, and appear before God in the believer's behalf. He is to come again to consummate redemption. This work of God's Son was for the purpose of saving us from the guilt, the penalty, the power, and ultimately the presence of sin. Salvation was provided for those who believe in Christ and walk in his ways. Faith is the only condition to salvation, and it is the gift of God.

John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"

Today, can be the day that you make the most important decision you make in this life. Where will you spend eternity? Jesus died so that your sins could be forgiven and you could live forever in heaven when this life is over. All you have to do is pray this simple prayer.

PRAYER
"God, I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I believe in my heart, and confess with my lips, that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart Jesus. Take my life, I surrender it to you. From this moment on, I will live my life according to the Bible and serve you. Thank you for taking away my sins and giving me everlasting life. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen"

If you prayed this prayer, please email me at bkeller@liveprayer.com so that I can send you at no charge some information to help you in your new life with Christ."

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ.

The impact of one man

Our world is in trouble! There are problems on every hand; we’re looking for help in all the wrong places.

Some are calling on their boss at work.
Some are calling on the principals of the schools.
Some are calling on the president or leaders of their country.
Some are calling on mom or dad.

But rarely do they call on JESUS!

We need to take him off the shelf (The Bible), and get to know HIM.

We need to seek the face of the all knowing GOD; 2 Chronicles 7:14 (Amplified Bible) if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

There is HOPE!

Genesis 6:5 (Amplified Bible) the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:6 (Amplified Bible) And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart.

Genesis 6:7 (Amplified Bible) So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground--not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air--for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them.

Genesis 6:8 (Amplified Bible) but Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord. (Thank God for Noah).

Noah feared the Lord, Psalm 111:10 (Amplified Bible) The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill [the preceding and the first essential, the prerequisite and the alphabet]; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord]. Their praise of Him endures forever.

But one man found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Noah). An ordinary man (a small light in the midst of dominant darkness).

Noah did as 1 Peter 5:7 stated, casting all your cares upon him; for he careth for you. God really care!

If the wickedness of the world made God mad, imagine what Noah went through.

Many Christians today are second guessing their faith. Who are we serving today, is it a holy God or an imperfect man? Joshua 24:15 (Amplified Bible) and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Because of Noah God gave man another chance. (The impact of one man).

Elijah prayed that it wouldn’t rain on the earth, and it didn’t, see 1 Kings 17:1. He walked according to the guidance of God. We serve the same God, and we can obtain favor if we walk worthy of our calling.

Genesis 6:9 (Amplified Bible) this is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked [in habitual fellowship] with God.

Noah lived a life pleasing to the Lord. Corruption on every hand; He still held fast to God’s directions.

We must keep our eyes on God, and not on man (or woman). (Man will fall), God is forever. Don’t try to be like some other man, rather listen to the message over the messenger.

After Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord; God recognized the malfunction of human beings, the SIN problem, it’s origin by Adam and Eve, which will continue to reproduce throughout all generations. God devised a master plan to restore the bridge between fallen men to him; remember we are made in his image.

I can imagine God looking at his Son (Jesus) saying, Son get ready, you got to go show them the way.

John 3:16 (Amplified Bible) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

John 3:17 (Amplified Bible) For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

God knew that the world needed to see, rather than hear, so He sent his only Son, not only to show the way, but to be the way (to die).

God demonstrated his Love by sending his Son to die, not just any death, but death on the cross.

Isaiah 53:5 (Amplified Bible) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

John 15:13 (Amplified Bible) No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

John 15:14 (Amplified Bible) you are my friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.

John 15:15 (Amplified Bible) I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you my friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]

John 15:16 (Amplified Bible) You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

John 15:17 (Amplified Bible) this is what I command you: that you love one another.

One man can make a world of difference; Adam caused all to SIN breaking the path to a holy God, but Jesus restored that path back to God by dying on the cross for all. Every sin we will ever commit, Jesus has already paid the price for it. If God was concern with one man that was trying to live right (Noah), he care about us. The bible say, God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. He love us so much, but we (America) has turned our backs on him, not everyone, he’s not pleased.

The word of God (The Bible) according to Revelation 2:4 (Amplified Bible) But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted me, your first love].

In conclusion, we only pull God off the shelf (The Bible) when things are going wrong (911). If we repent, God is faithful to forgive us for all the wrong we’ve done. 1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible) If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. One man (or woman) does make a world of difference when they are connected to (Jehovahjireh) God.

Are you ready for permanent change of station?

I had on new clothes, new sneakers on my feet. I was there for class on time, went to the back and took my seat.

Yeah, I'm moving up, I'm already grown. Soon I'll be graduating, and out on my own.

I talked to some of my friends, we were all having fun. Said some things I shouldn't have said. Did stuff I shouldn't have done.

I knew I was different..I felt God touch my heart, I knew I should set a standard, but then I'd be set apart.

Walking to the bus, I was not looking for strength. I heard the car tires screeching, but now it's too late.

I'm standing in this room, and I can see the heavenly gate..Oh no! I never prayed. I thought I had time to get it straight!

An angel walked to me, He had a book in his hand. I knew it was the Book of Life, when would this dream end?

I told him my name, and he began to look. Then he looked at me sadly and said, your name is not in this book.

Angel, this is a dream, no, I can't be dead!He closed the book and turned away, He whispered - You cannot proceed ahead.

No...no this can't be real, Angel, you can't turn me ! away. Let me talk to God, maybe he'll let me stay.

He led me to the gate, Jesus came to me. He did not let me in but said, beloved what is your need?

Jesus, I cried, please, don't cast me away from you. Tears ran down his face as he said, You knew what you needed to do.

Lord, please I'm young, I never thought I would die..I thought I'd have plenty of time, death caught me by surprise.

Lord, I went to church, please Jesus, I believe. He said you would not accept me, my love you would not receive. Lord, there were too many hypocrites. They weren't being true.

He took a step back and asked, what does that have to do with you?

Lord, my family claimed to be saved, they weren't real. You know.

He said, I died for you, now I have to go.

I fell to my knees crying to Him, Lord, I planned to be real tomorrow.

I couldn't make Him understand, I had never felt such sorrow.

Then it hit me hard, I said, Lord, where will I go?

He looked into my eyes and said, my child you already know.

Please Jesus, I begged, the place is so hot. It seemed to trouble and grieve him, He whispered, DEPART FROM ME, I KNOW YOU NOT.

Lord, you're supposed to be love, how can you send me to damnation?

He replied, with your mouth you said you loved me, but each day you rejected my salvation.

With that in an instant, day turned into night.

I never knew such torture could be, now too late, I know the Bible is right.

If I can tell you anything, Hell has no age.

It is a place of torture, separated from God! and full of rage.

You know, I thought it was funny, a joke, but this one thing is true.

If you never accept Jesus Christ, HELL IS WAITING FOR YOU! So please, ask Him into your heart.

Please tell everyone you care about to come and see..

((which should be everybody))

IF YOU WOULD STAND UP FOR JESUS CHRIST, THEN GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN'S!!!

Deck of Cards

A young soldier was in his bunkhouse all alone one Sunday morning over in Afghanistan. It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't made a noise. The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week. As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk. Just then an army sergeant came in and said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?"

The soldier replied, "I thought I would stay behind and spend sometime with the Lord." The sergeant said, "Looks like you're going to play cards."

The soldier said, "No sir, you see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country, I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards." The sergeant asked in disbelief, "How will you do that?"

"You see the Ace, Sergeant, it reminds me that there is only one God.

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments.

The Three represents the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Apostles: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Five is for the five virgins. There were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after working the six days.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives, in which God saved the eight people from the flood that destroyed the earth for the first time.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy. He cleansed ten but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan. One of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year.

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck, each is a week, 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represents the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards, there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for."

The sergeant just stood there and after a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, "Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?"

Please let this be a reminder and take time to pray for all of our soldiers who are being sent away, putting their lives on the line fighting for us.

Pray for our soldier's in the war torn countries. God Bless America!

Maybe we could send a deck of cards along with this to our soldiers.

One Nation under God

October 2, 2005

Lori Borgman
If not one nation, 'under God,' then under what?

There was an audible gasp of surprise when a federal judge once again challenged the use of the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The gasp of surprise did not come from court watchers, political action groups or the nation at large -- it came from God.

God must be truly surprised that so many Americans were outraged by the ruling, still insisting that we are a nation "under God."

The other day, I passed a billboard advertising the television program "Sex and the City." The billboard proclaimed, "One night stands, five nights a week."

One nation, under God? If you say so.

I was on my way to the bank to switch funds from savings to checking, verify a credit card balance and follow up on a college loan.

I wonder what the ratio is between the amount of time we spend tending our money and the amount of time we spend tending our souls?
One nation, under mammon.

I passed a strip mall that houses an XXX novelty and lingerie store, a tobacco outlet, a liquor store and a check-cashing store. I have always wondered, if one were going to drink, smoke and groom oneself into oblivion, at which end of the strip mall does one start? Is it novelties, smokes, booze, then cash, or is it cash, booze, smokes, then novelties? "One nation, in pursuit of pleasure."

Upon returning home, I sort- ed the mail, which included: a mountain of circulars and catalogs for overpriced things we neither need nor want, but might buy anyway; an invitation to a baby shower where it appears the mother has registered everywhere except at the marriage license office; and an envelope from the Red Cross.

I seriously considered training as a volunteer and helping my fellow man in need, but decided the timing was bad and it would have to wait until later. "One nation, under self."

I checked e-mail and, in addition to multiple offers for performance-enhancing drugs, I received an alert about a federal study claiming that a sexual practice, once reserved for the bottom tier of prostitutes until a former president popularized it in the Oval Office, is now widely practiced among teenagers.

"One nation, under sex." Or would it be, "One nation, oversexed"? "Under God" was inserted into the Pledge in 1954, when we were battling atheistic communism. The phrase, inserted without a ripple of dissent, was not a phrase grabbed at random. The phrase was, and is, familiar to all who have memorized the Gettysburg Address.

In the shadows of the carnage of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln expressed his resolve that "this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom." Lincoln, who may have borrowed the phrase from George Washington, believed that rights and liberties originate with God, not man. Slavery had proved that man was incapable of granting rights and liberties fairly. Lincoln, Washington and thinkers before them and after them, believed liberties must be seen as a gift of God in order to exercise them responsibly and to maintain their existence. We may no longer exercise our liberties as people living "under God," at least not today. But maybe we will again, someday.

In the meantime, "under God'" serves as a historical marker pointing both backward and forward -- a reminder as to where rights truly come from and a reminder as to whom we will one day answer.

Recall Notice

Important Recall Notice

Regardless of make or year, all units known as "human beings" are being
recalled by the Manufacturer. This is due to a malfunction in the original
prototype units code named "Adam" and "Eve" resulting in the reproduction
of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect is technically
termed, "Serious Internal Non-morality," but more commonly known as "SIN."

Some of the symptoms of the SIN defect:
[a] Loss of direction
[b] Lack of peace and joy
[c] Depression
[d] Foul vocal emissions
[e] Selfishness
[f] Ingratitude
[g] Fearfulness
[h] Rebellion
[i] Jealousy

The Manufacturer is providing factory authorized repair service free of

most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of
these repairs.

To repeat, there is no fee required. The number to call for repair in all
areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R.

Once connected please upload the burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE
procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Christ,
into the heart component of the human unit.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Christ will replace it with:

[a] Love
[b] Joy
[c] Peace
[d] Kindness
[e] Goodness
[f] Faithfulness
[g] Gentleness
[h] Patience<>[I] Self-control

Please see the operating manual, HOLY BIBLE, for further details on the use
of these fixes.

As an added upgrade, the Manufacturer has made available to all repaired
units a facility enabling direct monitoring and assistance from the

Why God?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY MARCH 18, 2005
(Isaiah 55:8,9)

www.liveprayer.com/the300.htm

The question is not "Why God," it is "What, God." I have preached a message over the years called, "The Right Question." It is a message you need today because everyone comes to that place in life when they ask, "Why God?" I can't tell you how many times over the last 14 years of ministry I've been with people at a funeral, in a hospital room, in a counseling session, and inevitably the same question always gets asked, "Why, why is God allowing this to happen?" "Why is this happening?" "Why doesn't God care?" "Why doesn't God stop this?" "Why doesn't God step in and change this?" "Why, why, why God?"

First of all, that is a natural question. Don't feel bad. As a matter of fact, if you haven't asked that question you're not normal. We all come to that place from time to time, especially in the midst of serious trials in our life when we look up at God and we just say, "Why God? "Where are you?" "Why aren't you helping me?" "Why God?" Today, I want to help you to ask the proper question. "Why God" is the natural question, however, the proper question is, "What, God?"

Living in this sin-filled world that we do, a world full of men living in utter rebellion to God and His Word, there is incredible evil all around us. Because of that sin and evil, there is always going to be bad things happening. That is simply part of this human experience. Just hours before going to the cross, Jesus took His disciples to the side and said, "in this life, you are going to have trials and tribulations."

Jesus didn't want His disciples to think that just because they had walked with Him, that their life was going to be a bed of roses. Anybody who thinks that when you get saved you automatically receive a free pass from the trials and tribulations from life is sadly mistaken. You see, trials and tribulations are part of living in this sin-filled and evil world that we do. Just like death is part of this life, the trials and tribulations we all face during our life are also part of this human experience.

Now, you can go through the trials and tribulations of life, face those difficult circumstances we all have along our journey and whine and moan and complain and ask "Why God," or you can ask the proper question which is, "What, God?" What God, what can I learn from this situation? God what lesson can I take from this experience? Most importantly, "God, what can I do to serve You through this?"

You read in the Book of Acts about some of the experiences Paul went through. Repeatedly tossed into prison for his faith, chased out of towns, people trying to kill him, but you never read about Paul asking God why. Instead he asked, "What God can I do to glorify You through all that I am going through?" You see my friend, that has got to be your response to the trials and tribulations that you face in this life. Instead of wasting your time and energy moaning and complaining and asking God why, figure out what you can do in the midst of your trials and tribulations to serve Him and bring glory to His name.

You see, our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God. That's our purpose. That purpose doesn't change just because we're going through a difficult time. I'll never forget in the early days of Liveprayer when we were facing what seemed to be insurmountable pressures and problems and issues every day. One day I really need to sit down and write a book about the first year of Liveprayer and the miracle it was that we survived, as a testimony of God's faithfulness. I'd sit here and break down if I started to tell you half of the things that we went through in those early days. But instead of sitting there and complaining and asking God "why" every day, I finally came to a place where I said, "God what can I do to serve and glorify you this day?"

Many of the things you are asking "Why God," are out of your control. In most cases, you can't control the fact that you've got cancer in your body, got laid off from your job, your husband or wife left you, or your son or your daughter is living their lives in rebellion to God. So many of the things that we face in our life are things that we have no control over in the first place. It's at those times that your faith has got to become real and you have to put your complete faith and trust in God. When you do that, you are no longer sitting there asking, "Why God, why is this happening to me?" Instead, you are asking, "What, God, what can I do for you?"

I love you and care about you so much. Do you want to start living in freedom? Do you want to start living with that joy in your heart? Do you want to start living with that peace the Bible says passes all human understanding? Oh, my friend, when you are not asking why anymore, but instead are asking what, there is a peace, there is a joy, there is a freedom you can't even put into words. It is indescribable. You see, Jesus, after He told His disciples that there would be trials and tribulations quickly added, "but be of good cheer because I have overcome this world!"

My friend, God knows what your problems are today. Give them to Him since I guarantee you He can handle them better than you can. What that does is free you up to not waste your time and energy asking why, but spend it serving the Lord. You need to ask, "What, God, what can I do for you today, what can I do to serve you today?" I know many of you are hurting and going through difficult times right now. My admonition to you, my counsel to you, my encouragement for you is to change your question. Change your question from, "Why God" to "What, God."

In his love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

Do you love me?

Do you love me?

This seems to be an age old question. What is love? Some say it’s when you can’t keep your eyes off that beautiful lady or that handsome man, other’s say it’s when you just can’t stay away from each other. There are many definitions of love; Let me try to break it down for all to receive.

Love is commitment to each other; when you say I love you, what you do should validate what you say. Hanging out with the boy’s or girls on a regular basic doesn’t show commitment to your partner.

Love is spending time with each other; if you love something you will spend time with it. Relationship with your partner i.e., husband, wife or significant other is far more important than any other earthly commitment.

Love is communicating your feeling to each other on a regular basic; ALWAYS give your partner compliments, something like, “honey you sure are fine, sweetie I love everything about you, baby if I didn’t have you, I couldn’t make it through the day.” Reason is, when the hard times come, and yes, I did say, when the hard times come, no one escapes them, it will be easier to discuss the difficult issues ahead. Let’s break down some of the man/woman differences:

To the ladies,

The man need to know he is your earthly king, he need to feel that you care and trust him to run things as we say. Allow him to be king, and you are queen. In other words, he needs to be validated by his queen.

Most men run when the heat is to hot; let me explain, if the man is faced with difficult issues, combined with his mate communicating them incorrectly i.e., “she yell at him, tell him he never get it right, he’s nothing.” he will shut down or leave without any further discussion. Men are flight people when issues get to hot.

The quickest way to shut your man down is to yell at him or say really bad things during the problem solving process. He will hardly ever comply. There are some exceptions. When a man’s kingly structure is broken, he feel hopeless. Kingly meaning, his manhood has been weaken, and he know longer feel important.

Recognize that ladies the next time pressing issues arrive.

To the gentlemen,

The woman is your soft side, she is very emotional, and she loves to be the center of her man’s attention. She love to hold hands in the public, lean on or kiss her man anywhere; she need to feel loved.

Men, it’s not all about the SEX with the woman, contrary to popular belief. It’s deeper than that; “anyone can sex you up,” it’s about knowing that security is in place, knowing that she is loved by her mate. She will do almost anything for you, and I mean almost anything, if you give her 100% of you.

Women are natural care providers, meaning they for the most part will be the first to identify or address issues i.e., problems with the marriage, relationship, bills and many other issues. It’s not because they are picky, it’s just that most men doesn’t address them in a timely manner.

Let’s try to understand them men!

To both the man and woman,

How do we repair the problems that we face in relationships on a daily basic?

First of all, everything that’s designed seem to have instructions; it doesn’t matter what you purchase, there are instructions from the designer’s. Humans are no different, we were made and we too have instructions. Check this out:

Basic
Instructions
Before
Leaving
Earth

When all HELL breaks loose in your marriage or relationship, check out the guide, a repair process is there. Now, all marriages or relationships want be repaired, but they could be, if the necessary steps are followed.

I know, some of you may say, you don’t know my husband, wife or significant other, you’re correct, but I know someone who does.

Now let’s get real! We humans really can’t truly love, until we learn how; what better way to learn than from the designer.

Let’s conclude it for now.

The real problem with love is, what we have isn’t love at all. We fall in love because someone looks good to us, that’s ok but we need to look deeper than that. Beauties on the outside want last; it’s the hidden person that matter most, he or she will remain forever. Relationships fail daily because there are many beautiful people out there on the surface, but most lack self-control, fool around, and eventually derail there present relationships.

Let me suggest something, if you’re married or seriously involved with another, and considering fooling around, first count the cost. Evaluate losses verses gains. I will let you in on a secret, if you are the problem, and I know, the other person is ALWAYS the problem, the next relationship gets worst.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our children are watching us on how to love; it doesn’t matter what you say, it’s what they see you do that is recorded in their little memory bank. Our kids are going through tough times, all because of what they see us do.

This is very deep, “please don’t take this the wrong way; it takes a man and woman of moral values to successfully raise a child for the best outcome. Single moms please make sure the man in your life benefit the well being of your child or children.”

I will be talking to you soon! Post comments if you like, but by all means, tell everyone you know to come and eat!

Be blessed,

TWT

Choose today!

READ THIS… LET IT REALLY SINK IN… THEN CHOOSE.

Michael is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Michael was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Michael and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Michael replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.
"Yes, it is," Michael said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."

I reflected on what Michael said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that Michael was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Michael was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw Michael about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," Michael replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.Michael continued, "the paramedics were great”. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.
"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Michael. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, I replied.'The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'."
Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."Michael lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34.
After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

You never know who is watching!

I visit a few fast food places on regular basics; one day I was sitting alone at the table eating, and reading, when a voice arrived in my direction saying, may I talk to you? Surprised by the young gentlemen standing before me, I said sure!

He begin by saying, "as you know, I work here; I see you come in quiet often, and you always have a smile, do you ever have bad days?" I responded with if only you knew!

What's on your mind, I asked? I could see the pain written all over his face; He began by saying we'll, I'm thinking of ending it all! Now I'm focused as never before, He continued by saying that his girl friend left him, and he doesn't have any desire to live. In side I'm praying "God give me the words to say to him." Looking intently, I asked why he chose me. He said, I watch people, and you seem to have it together.

I begin to tell him a little about me! I started by saying, "something’s are not as they appear, you see, all those days you saw me come in smiling, all I presented was the sunshine, but beneath, there was so much rain." I continued; man, every person in life has his or her own storms, and they come to make us strong! I pressed through one of my many storms, you can too. I begin to share the storm I went through while he watched without knowledge, I said, "the days I smiled, were some of the toughest times ever presented in my life. I was going through a divorce." His facial expression changed, as he said, I'm sorry, I would have never known. I continued by saying, it's all a part of life.

I turned the table back to his situation, and said, man, you are going to make it! Life is full of sunshine and rain; both are good in their season. Life is raining on you now, your girlfriend may have left, but it doesn't rain forever! Hold fast, steady your course and your sunshine will appear again. I continued by saying, God allow things in our lives to strengthen us, you’re being prepared for something great. His face lit up as if someone had given him a million bucks, and he said I believe what you say, and know matter what happens between my girlfriend and I, I'm waiting for my sunshine.

I concluded by saying, we all make mistakes! I don’t know what happened between you and your girlfriend, but remember this, “you can’t make anyone love you.” Then I added...

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. "Stand for something or fall for anything!"

I continued by saying, if it can be worked out, then pursue it, if not; be willing to part with her. Don't allow your friends to talk bad about her, she still have many qualities. Then wisdom really kicked in, and I said, don’t ever close doors or rip down bridges, you may need to enter or cross them one day. If you see her with someone else, and it doesn’t set well with you, leave the scene without incident. The bigger person always walks away.

To all who read this true story, just remember; always be willing to share a word of encouragement to another, even if you don’t feel like it. In so doing, you yourself may be refreshed. God allow us to obtain Wisdom, knowledge, and many other qualities, not only for our good, but to help others who lack sound direction. These words I leave with you, in helping others, the life you save, just might be your own.

Proverbs 31 Summary

Verses 10–31

This is the description of a virtuous woman of those days, but the general outlines equally suit every age and nation. She is very careful to recommend herself to her husband's esteem and affection, to know his mind, and is willing that he rule over her.

1. She can be trusted, and he will leave such a wife to manage for him. He is happy in her. And she makes it her constant business to do him good.

2. She is one that takes pains in her duties, and takes pleasure in them. She is careful to fill up time, that none be lost. She rises early. She applies herself to the business proper for her, to women's business. She does what she does, with all her power, and trifles not.

3. She makes what she does turn to good account by prudent management. Many undo themselves by buying, without considering whether they can afford it. She provides well for her house. She lays up for hereafter.

4. She looks well to the ways of her household, that she may oblige all to do their duty to God and one another, as well as to her.

5. She is intent upon giving as upon getting, and does it freely and cheerfully.

6. She is discreet and obliging; every word she says, shows she governs herself by the rules of wisdom. She not only takes prudent measures herself, but gives prudent advice to others. The law of love and kindness is written in the heart, and shows itself in the tongue. Her heart is full of another world, even when her hands are most busy about this world.

7. Above all, she fears the Lord. Beauty recommends none to God, nor is it any proof of wisdom and goodness, but it has deceived many a man who made his choice of a wife by it. But the fear of God reigning in the heart, is the beauty of the soul; it lasts for ever.

8. She has firmness to bear up under crosses and disappointments. She shall reflect with comfort when she comes to be old, that she was not idle or useless when young. She shall rejoice in a world to come. She is a great blessing to her relations. If the fruit be good, the tree must have our good word. But she leaves it to her own works to praise her. Every one ought to desire this honor that cometh from God; and according to this standard we all ought to regulate our judgments. This description let all women daily study, who desire to be truly beloved and respected, useful and honorable. This passage is to be applied to individuals, but may it not also be applied to the church of God, which is described as a virtuous spouse? God by his grace has formed from among sinful men a church of true believers, to possess all the excellences here described.

The start of something special

Have you ever stopped for a moment, and assessed your surrounding; everyone going here and there, but what is our real goal?

We are here on the earth – working to gain all that is within our reach, only to leave it for another’s enjoyment.

Human nature is to want more, no matter how much pain is involved, it’s all about the status, what someone else may say or think.

I say all is like reaching for the wind. Why are we here on earth? I don’t believe we exist just for ourselves or family, there is a deeper reason. I’m working on it!
