The impact of one man

Our world is in trouble! There are problems on every hand; we’re looking for help in all the wrong places.

Some are calling on their boss at work.
Some are calling on the principals of the schools.
Some are calling on the president or leaders of their country.
Some are calling on mom or dad.

But rarely do they call on JESUS!

We need to take him off the shelf (The Bible), and get to know HIM.

We need to seek the face of the all knowing GOD; 2 Chronicles 7:14 (Amplified Bible) if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

There is HOPE!

Genesis 6:5 (Amplified Bible) the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:6 (Amplified Bible) And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart.

Genesis 6:7 (Amplified Bible) So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground--not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air--for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them.

Genesis 6:8 (Amplified Bible) but Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord. (Thank God for Noah).

Noah feared the Lord, Psalm 111:10 (Amplified Bible) The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill [the preceding and the first essential, the prerequisite and the alphabet]; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord]. Their praise of Him endures forever.

But one man found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Noah). An ordinary man (a small light in the midst of dominant darkness).

Noah did as 1 Peter 5:7 stated, casting all your cares upon him; for he careth for you. God really care!

If the wickedness of the world made God mad, imagine what Noah went through.

Many Christians today are second guessing their faith. Who are we serving today, is it a holy God or an imperfect man? Joshua 24:15 (Amplified Bible) and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Because of Noah God gave man another chance. (The impact of one man).

Elijah prayed that it wouldn’t rain on the earth, and it didn’t, see 1 Kings 17:1. He walked according to the guidance of God. We serve the same God, and we can obtain favor if we walk worthy of our calling.

Genesis 6:9 (Amplified Bible) this is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked [in habitual fellowship] with God.

Noah lived a life pleasing to the Lord. Corruption on every hand; He still held fast to God’s directions.

We must keep our eyes on God, and not on man (or woman). (Man will fall), God is forever. Don’t try to be like some other man, rather listen to the message over the messenger.

After Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord; God recognized the malfunction of human beings, the SIN problem, it’s origin by Adam and Eve, which will continue to reproduce throughout all generations. God devised a master plan to restore the bridge between fallen men to him; remember we are made in his image.

I can imagine God looking at his Son (Jesus) saying, Son get ready, you got to go show them the way.

John 3:16 (Amplified Bible) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

John 3:17 (Amplified Bible) For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

God knew that the world needed to see, rather than hear, so He sent his only Son, not only to show the way, but to be the way (to die).

God demonstrated his Love by sending his Son to die, not just any death, but death on the cross.

Isaiah 53:5 (Amplified Bible) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

John 15:13 (Amplified Bible) No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

John 15:14 (Amplified Bible) you are my friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.

John 15:15 (Amplified Bible) I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you my friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]

John 15:16 (Amplified Bible) You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

John 15:17 (Amplified Bible) this is what I command you: that you love one another.

One man can make a world of difference; Adam caused all to SIN breaking the path to a holy God, but Jesus restored that path back to God by dying on the cross for all. Every sin we will ever commit, Jesus has already paid the price for it. If God was concern with one man that was trying to live right (Noah), he care about us. The bible say, God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. He love us so much, but we (America) has turned our backs on him, not everyone, he’s not pleased.

The word of God (The Bible) according to Revelation 2:4 (Amplified Bible) But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted me, your first love].

In conclusion, we only pull God off the shelf (The Bible) when things are going wrong (911). If we repent, God is faithful to forgive us for all the wrong we’ve done. 1 John 1:9 (Amplified Bible) If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. One man (or woman) does make a world of difference when they are connected to (Jehovahjireh) God.
