The principals of purpose

Romans 9 (New Living Translation)

11. But before they were born, before they had done anything good or bad, she received a message from God. (This message shows that God chooses people according to his own purposes;

12. He calls people, but not according to their good or bad works.) She was told, “Your older son will serve your younger son.”

Genesis 25 (New Living Translation)

The Births of Esau and Jacob

19. This is the account of the family of Isaac, the son of Abraham.

20. When Isaac was forty years old, he married Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan-aram and the sister of Laban the Aramean.

21. Isaac pleaded with the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was unable to have children. The Lord answered Isaac’s prayer, and Rebekah became pregnant with twins.

22. But the two children struggled with each other in her womb. So she went to ask the Lord about it. “Why is this happening to me?” she asked.

23. And the Lord told her, “The sons in your womb will become two nations. From the very beginning, the two nations will be rivals. One nation will be stronger than the other; and your older son will serve your younger son.”

24. And when the time came to give birth, Rebekah discovered that she did indeed have twins!

25. The first one was very red at birth and covered with thick hair like a fur coat. So they named him Esau

26. Then the other twin was born with his hand grasping Esau’s heel. So they named him Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when the twins were born.

***I can tell many of us aren’t living out our God designed purpose; we are walking around sad, perplexed and really just going through the motions. One person see another with all the stuff, a great job, a great house, and a great car; they say man that person is so blessed. But the person with all the stuff is unimpressed, as a matter of fact, they are really unaware of how blessed they really are.

People often say if only I had a better job, if I stayed in a better neighborhood, if I had a better car or a higher educational level, life would be great. Let me submit to you, even if you made fifty thousand additional dollars a year, had the largest house in area, drive the best looking automobile, it still want make you happy.

Listen good, God has placed in each of us a God size void, and only a God size purpose can fill it. I have heard people say that they are self made billionaires’ or millionaires’. They don’t know what it takes to make a self. God gives life, knowledge, and everything else we take ownership of. Unless God direct each of us we will all arrive in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Let me give you an example; many of us have gotten on an airplane, and really never even looked to see who’s flying the plane. But what you may or may not know is, the air traffic controller on the ground has the airplane on radar, and the person flying the plane always knows what’s going on around them. Even if there are clouds in the immediate path, the person flying the plane still know where they are because someone else is in control. If they go to high, to low or drift off the designated path, the air traffic controller will instruct them to make the adjustment.

The Holy Spirit is the Christian’s controller, and He has all of our lives on radar, and each time we’re about to make a bad decision, He instruct us of the danger, but just as the air traffic controller, when instructions are given, they must be followed or imminent danger will occur.

God told Rebekah that the older son (Esau) will serve the younger (Jacob). Note. This was before the children were born, that the purpose of God may stand. The bible says according to Genesis 25: 26 that Jacob the younger gripped the heel of Esau his older brother when they were exiting their mother’s womb. I believe that the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us that we don’t have to fight for what God has already planned for our lives.

Romans 8 (New King James Version)

28. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

29. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

***Take a look at this…
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined, who does God know? He knows everyone. If He knows everyone, He prepared a job for everyone. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called. Now... if we are not walking in our purpose, it’s not because we wasn’t foreknown, it’s not because we wasn’t predestined, it’s not even because we wasn’t called. It may be because we didn’t answer. God is calling us daily to higher heights in ministry, and He said if we just answer His call, He will glorify us, and then He will justify us. Justification is given to someone who got some stuff hidden inside, someone who got some things tattered and torn in there lives. But all God ask is just answer His call.

1 Corinthians 1 (New Living Translation)

26. Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.

27. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

28. God chose things despised by the world; things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

29. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

***If things seem to be falling apart, just answer God’s call. He promised that He would glorify us if we would just humble ourselves, and answer. Many of us have answered all the enemy (devil) calls, and where will he lead us, right to HELL!

If you read all the examples provided in the BIBLE, you will find that God make every attempt to convince us to turn from serving idle gods, and serve the true and living God. He is long suffering, but when His wrath is released upon our lives, it’s hard to stand.

In closing… the BIBLE says what profit is it to a man to gain the whole world, and lose his soul. Make a choice this day… choose God or man, but make a choice.

Revelation 3 (New Living Translation)

15. “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!

16. But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

***Our Father want each of us to make the choice; continue living life as we wish or as God instructs, but make the choice.

Blessings to all,

CJ
