Choices

Our lives are filled with choices; where should I go to school, where should I work, should I aim for this job or that job, what house should I buy, how much should I pay, what car should I buy, how much should I pay, what woman/man should I marry. Choices are truly a large part of this life.

Our God made a choice! He made a choice to create the heaven and the earth, He chose man to care for the earth. Man made a choice to be the keeper of the earth.

For every choice there is an action, for every action there is a reaction.

Deuteronomy 30:15-19

15. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16. In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18. I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

*** Every action has a reaction***

What we choose to do take us down one of two paths, life or death.

This Christian road isn’t easy – we’re like foreigners in a country where hardly anyone speak our languish, everyone else is just living and enjoying life all around us, they seem to have the best of everything, jobs, houses, cars, and all the other benefits.

Proverbs 30:8-9

remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me. Vanity - Excessive pride in one's appearance or accomplishments.

9. Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

*** Every action has a reaction***
Today we need to make a choice – choose to live a life pleasing to God. How many of us know when we make that choice, life as we knew it changes.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The friends that we use to have, they down talk too us anymore, the places that we use to go we don’t go there anymore, the way we use to walk we don’t walk like that anymore, the way we use to talk we don’t talk like that anymore. I am a new creature all because of Christ Jesus.

<>Jesus – He want talk about me, He want put me down, He’s my friend.<>

Romans 8:28-30

and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29

for ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29. That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Blessings to all!
