The greatest Commandment of All?

Matthew 22:34 - 40 (New King James Version)

34. But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37. Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40. On these two commandments hang all the Law.

To know how to truly love one must get to know Him who is love. God is love, and those who connect to Him will show love.

Jesus took the Ten Commandments and placed them in two. Not to take any of them away… Five of the Ten Commandments are between God and man; the remaining five are between man and his or her fellow man or woman. That’s why Jesus said to love God first (this will cover the first five commandments), second to love your neighbor as yourself (this will cover the remaining five commandments).

Note… the Ten Commandments are still relevant today.

Blessings to all!
